Bentley West Primary School

Bentley West Primary School offers two-form entry for children aged 5 to 11 which includes 10 places for children who are profoundly deaf.  We pride ourselves on our inclusive education and the positive attitudes towards inclusion that our pupils and parents have.  We have high expectations of all of our children and expect them to achieve as well as they can.  Alongside our marvellous facilities and opportunities, we still hold firm to the traditional values of education, good behaviour, discipline and high standards.

King Charles Primary School

King Charles Primary School has recently undergone a permanent increase in the school role from 1 to 1½ form entry and in October 2011 completed a refurbishment and new building programme, which has given us a brand new Early Years unit and a wonderful school building for our children, parents, staff and community to be proud of.  Children and parents, quite rightly, should expect the very best from us. Our children work hard, are well behaved and have very positive relationships with teachers and each other. We want our children to be the very best people they can be; academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually and we strive to work with you in order to enable them to do this.

The Bentley Sure Start Children’s Centre

The Bentley Sure Start Children’s Centre forms part of the Bentley Federation.  As part of this collaborative work we deliver Breakfast clubs, wrap around, and After School Care, together with Playschemes every school holiday.  Our Children’s Centre opened in October 2005 and is now located on three local primary school sites in the heart of the community.

We provide excellent Early Education, integrated with daycare for babies and children until they reach school age. This has enabled us to provide the early identification of children with special needs and disabilities, so that we can offer inclusive services and support for their families.  In November 2011 we were awarded Outstanding in all areas of the OFSTED Framework, we continue to build on our strengths and meet current needs. We have a highly skilled multi-agency team of Family Support Workers, that provide specific support to our hard to reach families giving them parenting support and guidance. They focus on significant transition points in a families life, eg: birth, early days, transition to school.
